Biography

As a Financial Wellbeing Program Advisor, Angela serves students through holistic advising and financial literacy programming. Through partnership with students and other departments, she aims to both empower those facing barriers to success and develop proactive strategies that align with student-centered goals and intersectionality.

Previously, Angela served students and families of various backgrounds at RISD, College Advising Corps, and The College Crusade. Through these experiences of support and programming, she focused on a range of finances, education, socio-emotional, and career development. Angela holds a MA in Youth Development with a concentration in Holistic Health and Wellness, and a BA in Psychology, both received from Rhode Island College. In addition, she is a Qualified Level One Instructor of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), and looks forward to pursuing further certification credentials, specifically for college students and emerging adults. As a wellness enthusiast, Angela's interests outside of student success include Bible study, Krav Maga, meditation, spending time with her family, and a warm cup of herbal tea.
