At Brown, you have the opportunity to study abroad through a traditional program or you may participate in a travel experience embedded in your coursework. Brown sends approximately 500 students annually to programs in 45 countries during the fall and spring semester, while the Brown faculty-led courses, supported by the Office of Global Engagement and the College, are advanced undergraduate seminars that include an international travel component during the winter and summer sessions.

The Brown Semester Internship Program combines a 12-14 week internship experience and academic coursework for the fall or spring semester. Students have the opportunity to gain direct experience in a dynamic field, immerse themselves in a new culture and community, and collaborate with fellow Brown students in small cohorts.
Students studying on F-1 visas may seek permission to study at a two- or four-year institution in their home countries.
