The College

Emily Collins Garcia (she/her) has either worked with or been an international student for the past ten years. She holds a B.A. from the University of Rhode Island, and an M.Ed. from Northeastern University. After serving as a teacher of English as a Second Language for several years, Emily has most recently served as the Assistant Director of International Student Integration at Bryant University. Emily believes in international education as an institution for change, and is committed to advancing equitable practices within the field. She approaches advising through a lens of encouraging holistic wellness for international students. While Emily was born and raised in Rhode Island, her “second home” is in Brasilia, Brazil with her partner’s family. Emily is an avid meditator, yogi, nature-lover, and runner, completing her first sprint triathlon in 2022.
