Biography

Malik Blue (he/him/his) is an international education professional who most recently worked at the University of Maryland where he served as Managing Advisor in the Education Abroad office. In his role, Malik managed advising services, oversaw international program administration, coordinated the office's Freshmen Abroad programs, and led efforts in inclusive advising. Prior to working at the University of Maryland, Malik served as a Residential Life Coordinator at Goucher College, where he oversaw a residential community of first-year students and led efforts in student staff selection and training. Malik studied at Northeastern University in Boston for both his undergraduate degree in International Business and his Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration. As an undergraduate student, Malik lived in Madrid, Spain for a year exchange where he studied at Universidad Pontificia Comillas (ICADE) and completed an internship at L’Oreal Spain. Throughout his career, Malik has worked seasonally for educational travel and service organizations in Dominican Republic, Thailand, and Cuba. Malik is passionate about supporting students who are historically underrepresented in international education programs.
