Ashley Davega
Biography
Ashley provides students with financial advising services, while managing the daily operations of E-GAP grant funds and applications. Through the management of the E-GAP program, Ashley assists with identifying the hidden costs of a Brown education, while proposing programmatic solutions to address them.
Ashley previously worked in the Office of Financial Aid at Brown University as a financial aid counselor, where she was responsible for assisting undergraduate, graduate students, and their families with understanding financial aid determinations within the institution. Before coming to Brown, Ashley served as the College Success Advisor for the College Crusade of Rhode Island in partnership with Rhode Island College, where she helped create, develop, and implement college success programs. Over the course of her career, she has counseled students and parents on financial literacy, taught courses on academic success, and provided resources to help students not only access higher education, but complete their degrees. Ashley received her B.A. in History from the University of Rhode Island and most recently, her M.Ed. in Higher Education from Providence College. Ashley is a first-generation American student born to immigrant parents. In her spare time, Ashley enjoys painting, reading, and spending time with her family.
