Biography
Ashley is the Assistant Director of Fellowships and Post-Graduate Opportunities. In this role, she is focused on empowering students to imagine and pursue creative possibilities for engagement beyond Brown, as well as strategic planning for effective and inclusive processes. She also works on student outreach, fellowships programming, communications planning, student advising, and oversees select review and nomination cycles.
Ashley has worked at Brown since 2017, primarily in Alumni Relations, where she expanded Brown’s alumni shared interest groups initiative. She also supported alumni volunteers serving on Brown’s Women’s Leadership Council and the Brown Women’s Network and managed communications components, including a podcast, newsletters, and social media. Before her time in Alumni Relations, Ashley guided graduate students in Brown’s Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, and Biochemistry graduate program. Prior to her roles at Brown, Ashley worked in program management and scholar advising for the Fulbright Visiting Scholar Program, serving as the main advisor for 165 Fulbright Visiting Scholars from more than 20 countries. She also has prior experience in advising nursing students as well as in higher education textbook publishing. Ashley earned a dual degree at Binghamton University, State University of New York, with a Bachelor of Science in Management and a Bachelor of Arts in English.
