Jamie Tyrol
Biography
Jamie Tyrol is responsible for the development, implementation, and coordination of administrative, financial, and operational policies, procedures, and systems in the College. She works with senior leadership colleagues to envision and implement strategic initiatives, operational oversight, and guidance to team members. Jamie oversees the operations team within the College,ensuring logistical support for all College programs and initiatives, and providing opportunities to develop and improve processes, policies, and service. In addition to managing the staffing budget for the College’s operational support functions, Jamie oversees day-to-day financial operations for the College including purchasing, expense reimbursements, supply ordering, purchasing card activity, and contracts management. Jamie is also responsible for the planning, operations, effective use, and maintenance of all physical spaces assigned to the division of the College across multiple buildings, and works closely with several University partners to ensure success in all programming and internal operation including but not limited to Academic Departments, Accounts Payable, the Controller’s Office, Facilities, Information Technology, Telecommunications, and Public Safety.
Jamie came to the College from Brown’s Department of Theatre Arts and Performance Studies (TAPS), where she was the Academic Department Manager from August 2016 until June 2021. Prior to her arrival at TAPS (which brought her to Rhode Island), Jamie worked for over 15 years as a general manager of Off-Broadway and Broadway theater productions in New York and Chicago.
