Biography

Kuy (pronounced "Kai") Howard started his career in International Education with the JET Program as an Assistant Language Teacher in rural southern Japan teaching at public schools throughout the locality. He then earned the Japan Ministry of Education (MEXT) Scholarship to study International Relations at Ritsumeikan University in Kyoto, Japan.

Upon returning to the states, Kuy then began a role at Clark University as Study Abroad Advisor & Program Coordinator in the summer of 2021 before taking on the additional role of Japanese Language Instructor in the Spring of 2022 and finally serving as Interim Assistant Director of Study Abroad & Away during the 2022-2023 Academic Year. Kuy joined the Brown University Study Abroad team as an Advisor in July 2023.
